Communal Co-living is a space to live, work, unwind, and socialise with like-minded people who found themselves working as a digital nomad in Siargao Island. Customers can book a minimum 7 night stay in one of the male and female only dorm rooms with access to a co-working area, garden, a parking space and shared kitchen with the staples. Throughout the week, there are a number of activities that they can join, including a weekly quiz, family potluck and movie nights hosted at the partnered coworking space, Coco Space.
I was tasked with optimising the user experience of Communal Co-living’s Wix Studio website. My primary focus was on ensuring consistent layout, spacing, and responsiveness across all devices. I addressed issues related to mobile font sizing, margin, and padding inconsistencies, streamlining the website’s appearance and functionality.
To achieve optimal responsiveness, I implemented a comprehensive overhaul of the website’s global styles. By establishing consistent font sizes and spacing rules, I eliminated the manual adjustments required for each heading and element across different breakpoints. This not only simplified the website’s maintenance but also enhanced its visual appeal and user-friendliness.
